As a fully integrated leadership, education, energy, and research (LEER) establishment, DAMINY EduNergy aims to be a solid provider of education and energy (science) on platforms accessible in all parts of Ghana and the continent. Dr. Nutifafa Y. Doumon
Co-Founder (Physicist/Nanoscientist – Expert in Solar Energy)

As a Physicist, Nanoscientist, and Education Specialist (Leadership), Dr. Doumon has a combination of backgrounds that makes him a unique asset grounded in LEER’s challenges and objectives. He is fluent in English and French. He holds a doctorate in Nanoscience/Applied Physics (Solar Energy) from the Zernike Institute for Advanced Materials at the University of Groningen, The Netherlands. He is a recipient of many scholarly awards, including the latest as People Choice for the best talk in explaining scientific research to a lay audience in 2019. He has more than 10 years of experience in STEM and 5 years of teaching French. His vision/mission is to improve Africa’s education and energy situation and contribute towards her Energy Transition. This goes with a more in-depth knowledge of STEM and educating all members of society irrespective of their status. Secondly, it is his dream to see more and more women in STEM and many other aspects of our society to build inclusive and sustainable institutions capable of transforming lives. He is currently a professor of Materials Science and Engineering at the Pennsylvania State University.

 

Dr. Ivy M. Asuo
Co-Founder (Material Scientist and Engineer)

Dr. Asuo is currently a research professor of Materials Science and Engineering at the Pennsylvania State University. She holds a doctorate in Energy and Materials Science from the Institut National de la Recherche Scientifique (INRS-EMT), Canada. She was a laboratory R&D manager at WattbyWatt in Laval, QC. She is a co-founder of Pi-Sol Technologies, a spin-off start-up from her PhD research, now under the umbrella of WattbyWatt Inc. She has been the recipient of many scholarships and awards throughout her education. She is an inspiration to many young ladies out there who are forceful to be educated in STEM. She has a wealth of experience working with different groups of people. Many of our targeted clients can easily tap into her trajectory and research experience.
